After a season on loan at Marseille, Eric Bailly is set to return to Manchester United, as the Phocéens did not want to keep the Ivorian defender, who has been in the infirmary more than on Ligue 1 pitches.
However, United are no longer counting on the 29-year-old, whose contract expires in a year’s time. The player, who arrived in 2016 from Villarreal, has been asked to look elsewhere.
For the time being, however, there is no rush to sign him. Eric Bailly’s wages are high and he is often injured.
