FC Nantes secured their first win of the season. The Canaris won away against Clermont thanks to a goal from Moses Simon (0-1). The Nigerian striker scored the only goal of the game just after half-time (48th). Clermont came close to equalising late on, but Muhammed Cham missed his penalty (90+6). Nantes are 15th in the table with 5 points. Les Canaris will host Lorient on September 23 for the 6th day of Ligue 1.
