The suspense is over in the Egyptian Premier League with two games remaining. Al Ahly have just won the league title. Their 43rd in history.
Better still, it is the club’s third trophy of the season. After winning the CAF Champions League and the Egyptian Super Cup 2023.
It is also coach Marcel Koller’s fifth trophy with the Reds since taking over less than a year ago. Before that, he won the Egyptian Cup and the Super Cup last year.
Ceramica’s 2-1 win over Pyramids on Monday 10 July helped them to the title.
With 75 points and 3 matches in hand, Al Ahly can no longer be reached by Pyramids FC (67 points) with two match days remaining in the Premier League.
