Parfait Siki is now a free man at least for the moment. Placed in pre-trial detention six months ago, the former secretary general of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fécafoot) was released this Thursday, April 28, 2023.
The judge approved the journalist’s request for provisional release. He was imprisoned in November 2022 following a complaint from Samuel Eto’o.
Former director of the communication department of Fécafoot, under the presidency of Seidou Mbombo Njoya, Parfait Siki is prosecuted by the body he served for 4 years.
The body headed by Samuel Eto’o accuses him of “illegal possession of administrative documents of Fécafoot” with “the intention of falsifying them”. But he denies the facts.
