Insatiable and above all unbeatable, Faith Kipyegon wins the women’s 1500m at the 2023 Diamond League. The Kenyan, reigning Olympic and world champion in the discipline, won the final last night in Eugene with the 5th best time in history (3mn50s72).
This is the middle-distance queen’s 5th Diamond League, and her 3rd in a row.
With her 1500m and 5000m double at the World Championships in Budapest a few days ago and her 5000m world record, Faith Kipyegon will almost certainly be voted best athlete of the year 2023 in a few weeks’ time.
