Facing a largely overcrowded Reds, the Alsatians won thanks to a double from Adrien Thomasson and a goal from Habib Diallo.

Strasbourg largely won at Anfield this Sunday in a friendly match against Liverpool (0-3). The Reds had lined up a largely overhauled team the day after their Community Shield victory against Manchester City (3-1).

Among Jürgen Klopp’s players who usually have playing time in official matches, only midfielder James Milner, young striker Harvey Elliott (19), and central defenders Ibrahima Konaté and Joe Gomez took part in the match.

A first half hour was on fire

Strasbourg acquired its success thanks to a first half hour of fire, during which the Alsatian club scored three goals: a double from Adrien Thomasson (4th, 21st) and a goal from Habib Diallo (14th).

Racing concluded its preparation with this prestigious victory, a week before the first day of Ligue 1, during which Julien Stéphan’s players will host Monaco (next Saturday at 5 p.m.).
