During AC Milan’s victory against Cologne this Saturday evening in a warm-up match (2-1), Olivier Giroud particularly distinguished himself. The Frenchman scored both goals for his team, each time in a very good way.
One month before the resumption of Serie A , Olivier Giroud is already boiling. The AC Milan striker was doubly decisive in the first preparation match for the Rossoneri, against Cologne this Saturday evening in front of the 40,000 spectators at the RheinEnergieStadion. Two very good achievements offering victory to his team (2-1).
A dive and a skylight for Giroud
Shortly after the quarter of an hour, the French center-forward is served on the left of the surface by a superb heel from Rebic. His finish is just as subtle, with a small dive to eliminate the opposing goalkeeper, before concluding in the empty goal, at the end of a counter flash (17th).
Before the break, the French signed a double, in a completely different register. He is also at the conclusion of a counter-attack, this time on the left of the box, after being found by Diaz. It was with a roll from the left corner opposite that he scored his second goal (36th). Olivier Giroud then left on the hour mark. AC Milan conceded a goal without consequence at the end of the match by Dietz (86th).
Two more games before OM
The Italian champion will continue his preparation against two modest clubs, Zalaegerszeg (23/07) and Wolfsberg (27/07), before returning to OM on July 31 at 6 p.m. for their final friendly match. The first day of Serie A is scheduled against Udinese on the weekend of August 13.
