Nagelsmann does not understand how Barca can be so active in this transfer window

After a press conference, Julian Nagelsmann, the coach of Bayern Munich, returned to the departure of his striker Robert Lewandowski at Barça. The technician explained that he did not understand how, in financial difficulty, FC Barcelona could be so active in the transfer window.

FC Barcelona is having a turbulent summer… and quite surprising for its opponents as well. At least that is the opinion of Julian Nagelsmann, the coach of Bayern Munich , who lost Robert Lewandowski, who left for the Catalan club. The Munich residents pocketed 45 million euros excluding bonuses in this transfer.

“I don’t know how they do…”

At almost 34 years old, Robert Lewandowski remains on a season with 50 goals. It therefore still had a good rating on the market.

“Barcelona is the only club in the world that has no money but buys all the players it wants. I don’t know how they do it, It’s a kinda weird, kinda crazy.”

Nagelsmann asked in a press conference.

Barça also signed Brazilian winger Raphinha , for an estimated transfer fee of 60 million euros. Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessié signed up free of any contract and Ousmane Dembélé extended. Other recruits could follow, like Cesar Azpilicueta.

Stuck in debt several months ago, Barça has once again become a major player in this summer transfer window. Joan Laporta and her teams have activated several levers to quickly obtain money with, for example, a loan of 595 million euros from Goldman Sachs or a sponsorship agreement with Spotify for around 435 million euros.

The Catalan entity also sold percentages of its television rights to two companies, in exchange for cash. This is enough to give Xavi some nice means for the coming season.
