EA Sports formalized a multi-year partnership with Juventus Turin on Monday and confirmed the Italian club’s return to the FIFA 23 game.
Juventus fans have had to make do with Piemonte Calcio for three years to play with the Bianconeri in FIFA. But it’s over! EA Sports confirmed on Monday the end of the Piemonte Calcio club and the return of the Old Lady to FIFA 23.
“The Bianconeri are officially back in FIFA 23,” enthused the video game publisher in a message posted on social networks when formalizing a multi-year contract with Juventus. To mark the spirits for the great return of Juve in its new opus, the American company has even offered Claudio Marchisio as an ambassador.
In a video posted on social networks and which mixed both virtual images and legendary moments of the club, the former Italian midfielder told how EA Sports heard the demands of Turin supporters and negotiated the return of their favorite club in the game. For the stars of today and tomorrow, the American firm has also recruited Dusan Vlahovic as an ambassador.
Fans laugh at the end of Piemonte Calcio
Available from September 30, FIFA 23 will allow fans to play with Juventus. An evolution made possible by the end of the contract between Konami , publisher of eFootball (ex-PES), after three years of collaboration.
On social networks, some Juve fans even went so far as to bid a fond farewell to the Piemonte Calcio club by writing fake press releases to announce the end of the project.
Great new features in FIFA 23
Back on FIFA 23 and for the next few years (remains to be seen how many), Juventus will make people happy. Almost as much as the iconic sports video game with its new features already confirmed.
In addition to crossplay (function allowing players on different platforms to compete) planned for 1 vs 1 game modes such as Ultimate Team, FIFA 23 will also promote the exposure of women’s football with the appearance of D1 Arkema France and the English Barclays Women’s Super League in playable leagues.
