Thanks to a new goal from their summer signing Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 in Saturday’s warm-up match in Baltimore.
Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 in a friendly at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday thanks to goals from Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.
Already scored a double almost a week ago against Nuremberg, Gabriel Jesus, freshly recruited by the Gunners, from Manchester City, opened the scoring in the 33rd, on a magnificent shot from the right at the reception from a corner that reached the far post. Two minutes later, Gabriel Martinelli served in the area, with a nice outside foot, Bukayo Saka, who only had to push the ball into the back of the net to bring the score to 2-0.
Arsenal continue their winning streak in their first three pre-season games (5-1 against Ipswich Town and 5-3 against Nuremberg), but beyond the scores, the formation of Mikel Arteta offer an interesting attacking game, strongly influenced by the arrival of Jesus, already scorer of three goals in two games. The Gunners have two more friendlies to play in the United States, against Orlando City and Chelsea, while Everton play Minnesota United next Thursday.
