Phil Foden has been named the 2021/22 Hublot Young Player of the Season.

Foden retains the award that he won last season and becomes the first player to win it in successive campaigns.

The 21-year-old has produced nine goals and five assists in 27 appearances to help Manchester City close in on the Premier League title.

Indeed, among Man City midfielders only Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne have played more minutes this season than Foden, who has earned Pep Guardiola’s trust and impressed while playing in multiple positions across the campaign.

He will now look to end the season on a high against Aston Villa on Sunday, when Man City know a win would guarantee them their sixth Premier League Trophy.

Foden wins the award after he received the most combined votes from the public and a Premier League panel.

He topped an eight-man shortlist of players aged 23 or under at the start of the campaign, beating Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Gallagher, Tyrick Mitchell, Mason Mount, Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka.
