The ex-England man is used to being a Hornet but this time it’s bees that kept him busy, as he travelled up to Cumbria to join local eBay small business Bee Beautiful in a day of apiculture and honey making.
Ben ditched his goalkeeper jersey and bicycle shorts for a beekeeping outfit. Despite being hesitant when he saw how many bees he’d be dealing with, Ben soon came into his own, putting his fine handling on display and quickly becoming the bees knees at beekeeping.
Just like Ben in his career, the beekeeping outfit did a good job but couldn’t quite keep all the bees at bay, as he was stung a couple of times, something that he definitely was not buzzing about. If Ben Foster has ever kept a clean sheet against your team, you’ll definitely want to watch him getting stung!
After the honey was made, Ben invited all the Bee Beautiful members to local club Barrow AFC to take penalties against him with a pair of his own gloves up for grabs if anyone could score past him. Two members of the business managed to smash the ball past him with the most outrageous toe punts you will ever see.
