Chelsea finalised the signing of Raheem Sterling until 2027 on Wednesday

The England international is leaving Manchester City after seven seasons in the Citizens jersey.

A big transfer in the Premier League. As announced by several media during the day, Raheem Sterling signed up with Chelsea on Wednesday. The Blues have just formalized the signing of the 27-year-old England international, who had one year left on his contract at Manchester City. 

He signs until 2027 with the London club. According to the first figures put forward by the English press, the transaction would be around 60 million euros.

Hours earlier, Sterling had made his departure from City official in a letter posted on social media

“Seven seasons. Eleven major trophies. A lifetime of memories. I am grateful for the ups and downs. I came to Manchester at 20. Today I leave as a man. Thank you for your unwavering support. It was an honor to wear the Manchester City shirt,”

Wrote the England winger, who City bought from Liverpool in 2015 for 63 million euros.

338 games for Manchester City

Last season, Sterling played 47 games in all competitions for Manchester City, including 32 as a starter, for a total of 16 goals and seven assists. In all, the Englishman has played 338 games in the Citizens jersey since his arrival in 2015 with a fairly statistical record: 131 goals and 74 assists.
