CAF postpones CAN 2024 qualifying matches

The CAN 2024 qualifying matches initially scheduled for September have been postponed to March 2023, to allow the African teams present at the World Cup to better prepare.

The qualifying days for the 2024 African Cup of Nations scheduled for next September have been postponed to March 2023. This postponement allows the continent’s five globalists (Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco and Tunisia) to compete instead preparation matches for the World Cup in Qatar (November 21-December 18), as they had requested.

The days initially planned for March have, in fact, been shifted to the period from June 12 to 20 and from September 4 to 12.
