England will challenge Sweden, while Germany will play the France team.

France finally holds its last square in this Euro 2022! After the victory against the Netherlands this Saturday (1-0), Corinne Deacon’s players will face Germany in the semi-finals on Wednesday, the day after the first poster between England and Sweden. A first for the Habs in a Euro.

• England-Sweden, Tuesday at 9 p.m.

The English have been delighting their public since the start of the competition on July 6th. Sarina Wiegman’s players fought hard to defeat Spain in the quarter-finals and relied on a cannon shot from Georgia Stanway to find the last four and pursue their dream of winning at home, a year after the defeat of the boys at Euro 2021 against Italy.

Opposite, Sweden took a long time to enter the tournament. After the inaugural draw against the Netherlands (1-1), the teammates of legend Caroline Seger fought against Switzerland (2-1), before rolling over Portugal (5-0) to finish at the top of the his group. Carried by former Montpellier player Stina Blackstenius, the Blagult will however have to be more effective than against the Belgians (one goal after 33 shots) to hope to find the final for the first time since 2001.

• Germany-France, Wednesday at 9 p.m.

Like the English, Germany wasted no time in this Euro 2022. Quietly qualified with a perfect group stage, the eight-time European champions did not concede a goal and rolled out offensively (nine goals), thanks in particular to Alexandra Popp. In search of results since gold at the 2016 Olympics, Sara Däbritz’s teammates start as favorites for their semi-final.

The Blues have found the last four of an international competition since 2012 by winning against the Netherlands (1-0). Looking for stability after a group stage on alternating current. Sparkling for 45 minutes against Italy, the Tricolores were more messy against Belgium and Iceland.

Dominating against the Dutch, Corinne Deacon’s players were terribly inefficient in front of Van Domselaar, before Eve Périsset delivered her partners on penalty in an unbreathable extension. The challenge of the Blue promises to be immense.
